We held our CMU job fair on Nov. 16, 2017 with guests from various companies such as BitTiger, Omni Labs, and Oh My Green.
Carnegie Mellon University Silicon Valley partnered with us, RAVV Inc., for an exclusive job fair on Thursday, November 16. The main goal of the event was to offer more connections from start up technology companies to CMU students.
Together with RobotX Space, we presented more than 15 companies from Silicon Valley including OhmniLabs, Bittiger and ZB Robot. The companies varied in different fields such as Robotics, Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality. The companies offered more than fifty direct hire and internship positions.
We also had companies present their latest gadgets in our demo area. Ohmnilabs brought their new robot to showcase. The Ohmni Robot is like a walking skype call. By controlling the robot through an app, you can make calls at the office or at home to stay in touch with family, family, and colleagues right where you are.
The job fair was a great success; students watched demos and presentations and they got a chance to chat one-on-one with company recruiters, owners, and employees to learn more about start up companies and start-up culture.
